Can Lippert Anti-Billowing Kit Work if Installed on Rear Side of Slide Topper
Question:
These anti-billowing devices were installed by the dealer on our two driver-side slideouts. The instructions says: The Anti-Billowing Device should be installed on the end of the awning that is closest to the front of the unit. Ours are both at the back end of the slides, not the closest to the front of the vehicle. Is this a problem or do they work equally well at both the front and back ends of the slide topper. In the pictures, Both of these slides are all the way in and the devices appear in different orientations. Both of these pictures are taken looking forward from the back of the coach looking forward. The coach is a 2023 Jayco Alante 27a and the slides are both on the drivers side.

Expert Reply:
In order for the Lippert Anti-Billowing Kit # LC78FR to work it has to install on the front side of the slide out awning as that is the side that would catch the wind when travelling down the highway. Having it on the back side might help a little bit but it won't be nearly as effective as if it were on the front side.
