Can An Advent Air RV Rooftop Air Conditioner Be Hardwired Into A Dometic RV Air Conditioner System
Question:
I have a 2014 Dometic 641915C851J0 13,500BTU AC unit with a Dometic 3310742.014 vent cover. The AC unit does not have a plug that connects the low voltage wiring, but instead has individual crimp connectors. I was looking at the Advent Air AC units and was wondering which one would work best. It seems like I do not need a wirin g harness adapter. Let me know what you suggest.

Since your unit is hardwired you would have to cut the connector off of the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner # ACDOM135 in order to hardwire it into your system. Doing this will void your manufacturer warranty so I do not recommend it and instead recommend just replacing the system entirely with one like the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System - Manual - 13,500 Btu - White # FR52PR or # FR95PV for wall mounted thermostat.
If you don't care about the warranty and are will to hardwire it then the # ACDOM135 has the following wire functions for the connector:
Blue - Compressor Hot (AC)
Black - High Fan
Yellow - Mid Fan
Red - Low Fan
White - Compressor Neutral (AC)
Green/Yellow - Ground
I've attached a wire diagram for your 641915 unit but you'll most likely need to contact Dometic for further wiring instructions to transfer over to the Advent unit.
