Troubleshooting Trailer Brakes Not Locking Up With Full Power From Prodigy P2 Brake Controller
Question:
Ive installed the Prodigy P2 on my 2001 Toyota Landcrusier...All the indicators seem to be working properly. Ive been unable to lock the brakes up as described in setting the sensitivity/intensity. Im up to a 13 max and the brakes seem to still only engage subtly at the 25 mph test, suggestions? Thank you

If your trailer brakes aren't locking up like they should be when calibrating the Prodigy P2 # 90885 on your 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser then that tells me your trailer brakes might need some adjusting as well. You want your trailer brakes to have a slight drag when you're spinning your tires by hand. If there is no drag then you need to manually adjust the brakes until they get to this point by removing the plug at the back and using a Brake Adjustment Spoon # W80630.
I've attached a video showing how to accomplish this.
