Hitch and Bike Rack For 2023 Kia Sorento PHEV To Carry 25lb Road Bike and 53lb Step-Thru Bike

Question:

Looking for non-hitch rack for 2023 KIA Sorento Plug-In Hybrid PHEV. Will mosly carry a 25-lb road bike and 53-lb step thru Aventon e-bike. Ideally rear hatch could be opened with rack on. Either that or very easy on/off rack. Thanks!

I have an option for a hitch mount rack and trailer hitch for your 2023 Kia Sorento PHEV, but there is neither a trunk mount rack or roof mount option that'll work for your 53lb bike. Most of these racks cap out at 35lbs to 40lbs per bike.

Instead you'll need to install a trailer hitch # e28AR and a bike rack # KU84FR will be your best option. This rack weighs 48lbs so you shouldn't have any problems getting it in and out of the hitch, and it's 60lb capacity is plenty for your 53lb bike. The wheel mount design is ideal for your step thru frame as it's really hard to get the arms of a frame mount rack to attach to the step thru frame.
