Will The Thule WingBar Evo Fit the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5?

Question:

I have a Hyundai Ioniq5 2023, same as 2022. It does not have a roof rack. It has a big glass roof. I would like to use my existing Malone Sea Wing kayak carriers - to carry two 30ish pound kayaks side by side, with Universal Jawz Fit Adapters. The bolts for the adapters and wing nuts extend about 2inch below the bottom of the cross bars. 1. Is there sufficient vertical clearance with the system you recommend for this vehicle TH710501, TH711400, and TH68UK? 2. Will the Malone crossbar adapter conform to the Evo Crossbar geometry? If not, any other compatible Thule xbar? 3. Is this system safe at 70 mph? having no roof rails

I did go ahead and check with Thule and the Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711420 with the Evo Clamp Feet for Thule Crossbars # TH710501 and the Fit Kit for Thule Evo Clamp and Edge Clamp Roof Rack Feet # TH68UK are in fact a fit for your 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5.

That said, there should be plenty of vertical clearance to not interfere with your vehicle. Also, the Mounting Kit for Malone Watersport Carriers - 50 mm and 60 mm Bolts # MAL28RR you mention is a universal kit so it'll work just fine with these crossbars.

Finally for speed rating, Thule specifies that you you shouldn't exceed 80-MPH with these bars installed, so you doing 70 is fine.
