Recommended Hitch and Wiring Harness for a 2016 Jeep Renegade
Question:
I will be using my hitch for towing. Can you please advise what additional items I would need for a 2016 Jerp Renegade, please?

I would be happy to. To tow a trailer with your 2016 Jeep Renegade you will need the following parts:
Trailer Hitch - etrailer Hitch item # e37AR
4-Way Wiring Harness - Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C56274
Ball Mount Kit - Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534
This set up will allow you to tow a trailer without brakes that uses only a 4-flat connector to control your trailer's lighting functions.
If you are towing a trailer with brakes you will need the parts listed above and the following parts:
7-Way Wiring Harness - Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller item # ETBC7
Brake Controller - Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller w/ Universal Wiring Harness item # RED52VR
I have linked a couple of installation videos below along with the instructions. If you have any additional questions please feel free to email me back.
