Parts Needed to Tow Trailer with 2019 Jeep Cherokee
Question:
Dear madam or sir, Can you give me a basket or collection of products with all the parts to youre a trailer for a 2019 Jeep Cherokee without the tow package please. Could you also clarify towing capacity, trailerbrakes, connecting plugs etc. Maybe you have a video that explains these things. I thought it better to ask someone who knows a lot than try to figure these things out and make a mistake like shorting the electrical system or some other error of inexperience. Thank you.

The first thing you will need to tow a trailer with your 2019 Jeep Cherokee is a trailer hitch like the Curt # C13395. The next thing will be trailer wiring like the Curt # C56406 if the trailer does not have brakes and a 4-way connector. Most of the trailers you'd be towing with your Cherokee would be without brakes so this would cover most applications.
If the trailer does have brakes you would need a brake controller like the Redarc Tow Pro Liberty # RED24FR with the part # RED69FR. Then for the vehicle wiring side you'd need the # ETBC7 to convert it to a 7-way and wire up the brake controller.
For a ball mount kit that would work really the part # 989900 comes with two ball mounts with two ball sizes.
It looks like your vehicle has a 2,000 lb towing capacity which would be the heaviest trailer you could tow.
We don't have a video that covers this specific topic but hopefully I was able to help.
