Can The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller Be Removed If It Is No Longer Being Utilized?

I dont pull trailers anymore can I take the p2 out, or just unplug it... Does it affect the brakes if I unplug it...

Yes, you can remove your Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 if you no longer using it. If you used a pigtail to connect it to your vehicle I recommend also removing it as well. If the system is hardwired I recommend placing some electrical tape over the connector to prevent dust and moisture from getting into the Tekonsha connector and causing a short.
