Can Roof Vent Inside Components Be Upgraded to Bigger Specs
Question:
Just starting to look at these to repace the factory joke fan in our bathroom on our Twilight 2800. Ive watched a few videos on YouTube but wondered if there is an option available without breaking the seal on the roof? Is there something with bigger blades and more power using the same housing?

The only time you're able to swap out the innards of a roof vent is if it's the same unit or there is a compatible piece between 2 units (like a motor that happens to fit both). Since you're wanting to upgrade to a bigger and better roof vent you'll need to swap out everything including breaking the seal on the roof. While I know this can feel like a pretty daunting task, adding the seal at the top is easier than it would seem.
The MaxxFan Plus Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # MA00-04500K you were looking at is an excellent choice for upgrading since it has the 10 speed options as well as a thermostat and a remote for easy operation. This unit also includes a rain sensor so the lid automatically shuts when the sensor gets wet.
To install this roof vent you'll want to also pick up the Roof Vent Installation Kit # 344270KITW which comes with the sealant, tape, and screws needed to complete the installation.
I've attached some videos for you to check out as well.
