7-Way Trailer Wiring Harness For a 2023 Kia Telluride SX-Prestige X-Pro
Question:
I have a New 2023 Kia Telluride SX-Prestige X-Pro and the dealer said there is no wiring hareness to use to tow yet. How can I get my car to have a wiring hareness that allows it to legally tow?

Expert Reply:
I recommend installing the Universal Wiring Harness # 22551 on your 2023 Kia Telluride SX-Prestige X-Pro. This will give you a 7-way connector and provides the wiring needed to make it fully functional. If you are towing a trailer with electric brakes you will also need a controller. The Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller # RED63RR will connect directly to the 7-way harness above and unlike controllers with a large dash mounted box this only uses a small control knob for a cleaner appearance.
I see you were looking at the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e45ZR. For connecting the 7-way to this receiver you can use a Mounting Bracket # C58000 to hold it in place without having to drill into your rear fascial like a traditional Bracket # PK12711U requires.
