Differences In Firestone Ride-Rite F2709 and Red Label F2613 For 2023 GMC Sierra 3500

Question:

Good afternoon. I have a 2023 GMC 3500 CCLB. I am looking at adding a set of Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs. I tow a 5th wheel that has a pin weight of 2280lbs. I have been looking at the F2613 or F2709. Can you tell me what the difference is? The only real difference I see is the max pressure they can be inflated to. Is there anything else? I only tow the trailer about once a month, maybe twice if we are lucky. Thank you. V/R, Paul

The differences between the Firestone Ride Rite # F2613 and the Red Label # F2709 for your 2023 GMC Sierra 3500 Crew Cab Long Bed is the air pressure and max weight capacity.

The Ride-Rite # F2613 are rated for 5,000lbs and 100 PSI, where the Red Label # F2709 are rated for 7,500lbs and 150 PSI.

Since you have only 2280lbs of pin weight there is zero reason to go with the heavy duty bags, as you are well within the range of the # F2613 so that's what I recommend.

I do also recommend getting an on-board air compressor # F2610 to allow you to air up the air bags with the Firestone app on your phone instead of needing to find an air compressor each time you're ready to tow your trailer.
