Recommended Hitch for a 2023 Chevy Equinox
Question:
I need a class 3 hitch for a 2023 Equinox. Which one do you recommend? I see a few options. My vehicle has the towing package but no hitch. I mainly need this hitch for a bike rack but want to have the ability to tow if needed.

The best hitch for your 2023 Chevy Equinox is going to be the etrailer Hitch item # e59ZR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Chevy with included hardware. I really like the etrailer hitch because crosstube installs behind your rear bumper cover and can be completely hidden when you are not towing.
The etrailer Hitch item # e59ZR is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 4,500 lbs towing capacity, and a 675 lbs maximum tongue weight. This hitch can be used with a weight distribution system but it will not increase the towing capacity.
I have attached a couple of pictures below along with an installation video so you can see what this hitch looks like when installed.
Since you are wanting to be able to tow you will also need a wiring harness item # C94FR and a ball mount kit item # C45534. This wiring harness will only work with Equinox's that have the factory towing package.
