Trailer Hitch Receiver & Wiring For 2010 Ford Escape
Question:
I am wanting to install a trailer hitch on a 2010 Ford escape without a factory installed hitch and with a full size spare. What is your recommendation? And does it come with wiring harness that will work without backup sensors?

Expert Reply:
The trailer hitch receiver I recommend for your 2010 Ford Escape is the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e56AR.
I like the # e56AR because of its matte black finish that hides the inevitable dings, scuffs, and scratches better than any other option. And while it does not come with a 4-way wiring harness you can get one separately, with the correct fit being the T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56329.
The # C56329 does work on models without backup sensors.
