Recommendation For Leveling a 2018 Toyota Tacoma When Pulling a 17' Cargo Trailer
Question:
i have a 2018 Tacoma SR5 that pulls a 17' cargo trailer some camping equp loaded only which makes my front end way to high. Have a Weight Distribution Shank goes up to 10inch am at next to last hole at top. Question: Should I go for leaf springs helpers or air bags or coil overs or one of those weight distribution hitches? Please advise as it scares the hell out of me to pull it : Thank you

As you already mentioned having a weight distribution shank you could add the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution # EQ37061ET. This will bolt to your existing shank as long as it has the vertical mounting holes spaced 1-1/4" on center. Otherwise we have the System # EQ37060ET which includes a shank capable of a 7" hitch rise. I feel the weight distribution is the best route to go as it is only needed when towing and will not diminish the ride quality when you are using your truck as a daily driver or venturing off road. This particular weight distribution is rated for a trailer up to 6,000lbs with a tongue weight of 200-600lbs. If your trailer has a higher rating please let me know so I can determine the best option for you.
