Will The 1,500LB Sway Bars Fit On a Blue Ox SwayPro When Exceeding 1,000LBS of Tongue Weight?
Question:
I bought a new trailer, weighing about 8500 loaded. The tongue weight is between 950 and 1000 pounds. I currently have the sway pro with the 1000 lb spring bars. Would it make sense to purchase the 1500 lb sway bars as I could possibly go over the 1000 pound tongue weight.

Expert Reply:
Yes, having the 1,000-1,500LB Spring Bars # BXW4008 will be good to use if your tongue weight does exceed the 1,000lbs the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution # BXW1000 you currently have are rated for. You will likely want to carry a etrailer Tongue Weight Scale # e99044 so you know which bars to use when you connect to your trailer depending on how the load is placed.
