Do I Go By Cutout Dimensions for a Place to Install 16 Cu Ft WAY Interglobal RV Refrigerator

Question:

I have a question about the dimensions of this fridge. Description shows Cutout: 37-7/16inch wide x 84-1/2inch tall x 28-3/4inch deep. This is several inches beyond the width and height shown in the description. Does this mean I need a space this large to install the fridge?

Yes, even though the 16 cu ft WAY Interglobal RV Refrigerator # EV27FR measures 29-5/8" wide x 72-3/4" tall x 26-3/4" deep, you need the larger cutout dimensions to install it in so there is room for it to breathe:

84.5 tall is crazy, my Newmar has 84 from floor to ceiling, that just doesn't make sense. The lower back is going to be right by the outside vent that's on most motorhomes for venting the factory fridge for propane and should be more than adequate for ventilation for most any refrigerator I would think.

@James There are a variety of fridge sizes and while the Everchill # EV27FR only measures 72-3/4" tall, Furrion does recommend the larger cutout for breathing room. If you need something smaller then we have the 14 cu ft Furrion Fridge # FCR14ACBQABL as well as an even smaller 10 cu ft Everchill Fridge # EV77FR for you to check out.

How deep is it without the doors? I need no more than 24.5 in to get through my door.

@JimC The fridge itself only measures 26-3/4" deep (the extra 2" for the cutout is for breathing room) so you'll definitely be able to fit through a 24-1/2" wide door with the doors removed. I don't know the thickness of the doors right off-hand, but they are definitely 2" thick at the very minimum so you'll be good to go!
