Can You Use One Thule Hullavator and One Malone DownLoader Together On Same Roof

Question:

I just read an answer from John G re fitting two Kayaks on a Thule Hullavator for a Toyota Highlander in which he suggested instead getting two Malone J Downloaders and one Telos lift system. What about a hybrid to this answer-one Hullavator and one Telos/Downloader for the other side? I have a 2007 Honda Odyssey LX and I am worried that even with the Telos my wife will struggle to load one of our two 45 lb Jackson Tupelo kayaks if I am not around so I liked the Hullavator option for her.

Yes, you should not have any issue using both the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack part # TH898 and Malone DownLoader Kayak Roof Rack part # MPG114MD-351XL together. The Hullavator only takes up around 28-1/2" of space and the DownLoader only takes up around 17" of space so as long as your crossbars are longer than 45-1/2" you should have no issues using both together. Please note, the Hullavator weighs 40 lbs and the DownLoader weighs 13 lbs so make sure you don't overload the roof.
