Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Flare-It PEX ballcock adapter fitting. This ballcock adapter connects your water supply to your toilet's tank in your RV. So whether you're needing to repair a leaky connection or installing new lines, this is gonna do a great job for you. Will work with your PEX pipes, the old gray PB pipes, as well as the polyvinyl tubing. We have on the one end a 1/2 inch FSWV fitting that's going to fit with your 1/2 inch MHT ballcock connector.

On the other end, we have the 1/2 inch barbed connection that's gonna fit your hoses and tubes with a 1/2 inner diameter. The barbed connection and the compression end here are going to allow you to install this by hand. You're not gonna need any tools to get a nice secure fit. So basically, the way this works, you'll slide that compression end over your pipe, and then you'll hook up that barbed end. It'll insert into your pipe.

And that might take a little bit of doing to wiggle that in, press it in place. But once it's in place, you'll slide that compression end down, and then tighten it, thread it in place by hand. Now, basically what that's doing is it's expanding your hose or tube there and then compressing it back down. So it's gonna be a very secure fit for you. I actually tried this out myself the other night with a very similar fitting.

We had some PEX pipe laying around, so I got it installed. I was really impressed. And not only that I was able to get it tightened down by hand, but then when I went to untighten it or get it removed, I actually had to use some vice grips to get it to come apart. So it's a very solid connection, which, of course, is important when you're dealing with water. You don't wanna have leaks, drips, and that sort of thing, so it's gonna do a great job for you.

One thing I will advise, it can take some force getting that barbed end into your pipe. So if you are gonna be working in a confined space, I would recommend trying to get that connection made into your pipe first where you have a little bit more elbow room, you can have more leverage, and then getting that put into that more confined space. So very, very solid connection. And this is made of a polyoxymethylene construction, so it is gonna be very durable, resistant to stress cracking, so it will hold up well for you for a long time to come.
