Will a Trailer Hitch for a 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX Fit a 2014 Subaru Forester

would a 2008 subaru wrx tow hitch fit a 2014 subaru forester?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX and 2014 Subaru Forester were built on different platforms so the trailer hitches for each will not fit each other. We have several hitch options for the 2014 Forester, see link.
I recommend Curt hitch # C13144 because the 2 inch receiver makes it compatible with more accessories. But for non-trailer loads Curt does recommend the use of a stabilization strap # 18050.
If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip[, and a storage bag. And for trailer wiring you can use # 118467.
