Bike Rack and Hitch Recommendation for a 2008 Volkswagen Touareg
Question:
Im in austin and i want to buy a hitch rack for 2-4 bikes. I need also the instalation as soon as posible because im leaving in 2 weeks.

I recommend the Curt Class 3 Trailer Hitch, item # 13220, for your 2008 Volkswagen Touareg. Bike racks that would work well with this vehicle are the Thule Camber 4 Bike Hitch Mounted Folding Rack, item # TH9056, and the Swagman XTC4 Cross Country 2-Bike Rack, item # S64665. These are both excellent racks and secure the bikes very well. The XTC4 will accommodate bikes with alternative frames better and the bikes will load a bit easier but the rack will be harder to get loaded into the hitch.
We are located in Missouri so you would need to find someone locally to install the items for you. This should not be a problem, normal hand tools and a little mechanical know how is all that is needed.
