Will Swapping Out A Leland 7921 Pin Box With A MORryde Cushioned Pin Box Increase The Trailer Height

Question:

Would the morryde pin box raise the trailer higher by a few inches if bolted in the same holes as the original leland 7921 pin box?

The Leland 7921 pin box should be the same dimensions as the MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box for Up to 11.5K Trailers w/ Dexter 221002300 or Leland 7920/7921 # MR85VR. With such a specific fit as this one MORryde would've made it very similar since the way the pin box sits will affect the frame of the trailer. Manufacturers build the frame to hold up to a certain fulcrum point and replacing the pin box can affect that and void the frame warranty. MORryde does everything they can to maintain the frame warranty to be a premier choice for RV owners.

If I had some more pictures of your pin box and some measurements I could confirm for sure that they match.

If you're wanting to raise you trailer a bit to level it while towing then you could either use a kit like the Correct Track # RR23QX to raise the height 1-1/4" or 2-1/4" or you could use an Over Under Conversion Kit like # K71-385-00 if your leaf springs sit below the axle. The over under kit will raise your trailer by the diameter of your axles and the height of the leaf spring stack giving you 5"+ increase in height. Over under kits are axle diameter specific so you'll need to know what size axles you have prior to purchase.

I've attached a short video I did with one of these kits for you to check out and see if this is a viable option for you. If you have any other questions please feel free to submit another question and it'll get forwarded to me.
