Options for Towing a Boat Trailer and Carrying a Bike Rack
Question:
The curt d2-10 receiver is what I need for my bike rack while I tow my boat behind my truck and camper combo. However, I need a 4 inch to keep my boat tongue at the right height. Is there such an item? Thanks!

I may have a solution for you, however, our ball mount manufacturers do not currently offer a dual hitch receiver with a 4 inch drop.
One possible solution would be to use a longer ball mount with a 4 inch drop like the Curt Extra Long Ball Mount, # D-26, and use a towing bike rack like the Swagman XP Towing Bike Rack, # S64955. This bike rack wraps around the shank of the ball mount and can carry up to 3 bikes.
The tongue weight capacity of the Hidden Hitch ball mount is 600 lbs, so the tongue weight of your trailer and the weight of the bike rack and bikes cannot exceed 600 lbs. If you need a ball mount with a higher weight capacity, you can use the Draw-Tite Ball Mount, # 40202, which has a 1000 lb tongue weight.
Another option is to use a Gen-Y ball mount, like part # 325-GH-523 which has a 4 inch drop.
