Correct Dexter EZ Flex Suspension Kit For a Nash 23D Travel Trailer w/ Tandem Axles Spaced 33 Apart

Question:

Hello, I am the proud owner of a new Nash 23D travel trailer that I wanted to replace the equalizer with a Dexter EZ flex. I recently purchase the 8000lb kit Have not receive it yet . Upon doing some more research I find that my axles center to center are 33inch apart but the measurements of the current equalizer from hanger holes is somewhere of 6.5. As I look at the 8000lb vs the 6000lb I cant say my trailer seems to fall in the range of either. I know that the OTG Nash trailers have this system. Am I missing something? Did I order the correct size for my 2023 Nash 23D Trailer? Thanks for clearing any of this up.

You got the wrong size. With your axle spacing of 33", the correct size would be the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-652-00 (6,000 lbs.).

The Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-653-00 (8,000 lbs.) you purchased would be if your axle spacing was 35".

I know you mentioned the hanger hole spacing is 6.5", but I am not aware of a system that has 6.5" hole spacing. You likely have the 5-3/4" spacing that the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-652-00 (6,000 lbs.) has.
