Recommended Trailer Hitch Ball Mount For 1-1/4 Inch Receiver Needing a 2-1/4" Rise
Question:
The manufacturer of the trailer Im planning on buying said that I want the top of my 2inch ball to be at 16. I have a 1 1/4inch receiver on my car whose internal top is 11. The ball is 2 3/4inch tall so I need a rise of 2 1/4. But If I put my 190lb weight in the back of the car the hitch drops 1/2inch note that the trailer has a tongue weight of 150lbs. What drawbar do I want?

It would appear the Draw-Tite Drawbar # 3593 will be the closest we have to the 2-1/4" of rise you are looking for. This ball mount has 2-1/8" of rise. As you mentioned you are concerned with the drop with additional weight you can first contact the trailer manufacturer to determine if the number they gave you included consideration for sag. We do have the Curt Drawbar # C45022 which has a 2-5/8" rise. This will get you closer to having your trailer level when you account for the sag due to the additional weight.
Depending on the vehicle you are towing with you might consider adding some suspension enhancement which can help to reduce rear sag. This is the best option if you will be towing a lot with your vehicle as it will help keep your vehicle level with the trailer and would allow you to use the smaller rise ball mount above.
