Recommended Grease For etrailer Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-440-2-1K With Bearing Buddy
Question:
Hi, I just ordered pre-greased hubs for my trailer, part #AKIHUB-440-2-1K. Im wondering what kind of grease is used in these? I have Bearing Buddies and in the answer to another question, your expert says According to Bearing Buddy the best grease to use is a high quality, multipurpose # 2 grade lubricant. They also recommend not mixing different types of grease.inch So in order not to mix different types, what grease should I use?

Expert Reply:
The Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-440-2-1K comes with a lithium complex, multipurpose grease. I recommend using the LubriMatic LMX Industrial Strength Grease # L11390 which is also a lithium complex grease. This is also #2 like that which Bearing Buddy recommends for use with their Bearing Protectors # BB1980A-SS.
