Base Plate Kit Recommendation for 2023 Chevy Trailblazer Activ with Blue Ox Ascent Tow Bar
Question:
Hi, I have a 2023 Chevy Trailblazer Activ AWD. Looking for a base plate. I was previously flat towing a Jeep Wrangler. All the pictures for base plate installation show the Trailblazer RS. The Activ front end is a little different. Will either the Blue Ox or Roadmaster base plates work? I have a Blue Ox Ascent tow bar.

Since you already have the Blue Ox Ascent Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX4370 I recommend installing the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BLU49FR on your 2023 Chevy Trailblazer Activ. This matches up directly with what you already have and does fit with the Activ front end that you have.
For a complete flat towing setup you will need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you do not have all of these components just let me know and I can make some additional recommendations for you.
