Is the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles Needed for a 2006 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
I have been getting estimates for installation of a flat-towing package on my 2006 Jeep Wrangler Sport including the Stay-N-Play DUO supplemental braking system. Is the brake light relay switch required on this vehicle for use of the Stay-N-Play DUO supplemental braking system?

Expert Reply:
Yes, the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles part # RM-88400 is required for a 2006 Jeep Wrangler when using a supplemental braking system. It's needed to prevent your towed vehicles brake signals from overriding the turn signals that comes from your motorhome.
