The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118540 if a fit for all models of a 2018 Ford Explorer. It will simply plug into a pre-existing port under the vehicle. I have attached some text from the instructions for you below as well. I have also attached an install video of this and a photo. Please note, on vehicles with two connectors, the wiring harness should be connected to the black factory connector; do not use the gray connector.
1. Locate the vehicle’s Tow-Plug harness underneath the vehicle, on the passenger’s side. The connection point will be behind the rear tire and have connectors matching the T-Connector harness.
Separate this connector, being careful not to break the locking tabs. All connector surfaces should be clean and free of dirt.
2. Insert the T-Connector harness into the vehicle’s Tow-Plug harness and lock into place.
If you are having trouble finding the correct plug, please attach a photo of under your vehicle where the pug should be located so we can better understand the issue at hand.
