How To Know If You Have A Factory Brake Controller In A 2017 Nissan Armada
Question:
How can I tell if my 2017 Nissan Armada Platinum edition 4x4 has an integrated brake controller? An article by Car and Driver states it has a Class IV Towing Equipment -inc: Hitch and Brake Controller,inch but I cant tell from my owners manual.

If your 2017 Nissan Armada has a factory brake controller then you would see something like I have pictured below included on your dash. The buttons adjust the gain level and the levers are the manual override slide. If you don't see this in your Armada then you would need to install an aftermarket brake controller like the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR.
If you have the factory tow package then all you'll need is the Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers # RED39FR in order to install the Liberty. It'll be a simple plug-in installation with no cutting or splicing.
If you don't have the factory tow package then you would also need the Factory Style 7-Way and 4-Way Flat Vehicle End Trailer Connector # N40975 for a 7-way connection point on your Armada.
