Recommended Trailer Hitch/Cargo Carrier For A 2019 Mazda 6
Question:
Hello, I am looking to have a rear cargo carrier to add a little extra space in my car with things like an ice cooler etc. I have a 2019 Mazda 6 signature. Would this hitch be the best option to attach a cargo carrier to the rear of my car? I assume any cargo carry with a 1 1/4 receiver or an adapter could be used if it was a 2 inch?

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11356 is confirmed to fit your 2019 Mazda 6. The trailer hitch has a maximum tongue weight of 200 pounds. The trailer hitch has a bolt-on installation with no welding required. I recommend the class 1 cargo carrier, the 17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18145.
The trailer hitch can only haul up to 200 pounds and the carrier weighs 25 pounds, which gives you 175 pounds you can haul, depending on what your vehicle's maximum tongue weight is. This can be found in the vehicle's manual. Using an adapter to make the 1-/14 inch to a 2 inch will cut the tongue weight in half giving you less hauling capacity.
