Trailer Wiring Harness that Uses Factory Provided Connectors on a 1993 Ford Aerostar
Question:
I verified that the 1993 Aerostar already has a wire running from the battery to a connector C401 at the back of the vehicle, but its combined with other wires for turn signals, brake lights in that same connector. There is also a separate connector C409 on the vehicle specifically intended for use with a factory ordered trailer tow kit from Ford. Do you have a kit for this vehicle that leverages these factory-provided connectors and most importantly, uses the direct battery connection for power? It looks like kit # 118508 will work, but Im doubting that the connectors that come with it will plug directly into the factory connectors mentioned above. Im looking for a kit that does so for ease of installation. Otherwise I need to do quite a bit of splicing.

My recommendation would be to use the Tow Ready Wiring Kit Part # 119178KIT. This kit includes the powered taillight converter, a circuit tester, and quick splice connectors that you will need. This will establish a 4-pole flat vehicle connection for your Aerostar.
I have checked with the options that we have as confirmed wiring fits for your 1993 Ford Aerostar and the only options that we currently offer are a direct hard wire option. We do have a confirmed fit that will utilize the existing wiring connection points on your Aerostar.
The wiring kit that you referenced is specifically designed as a direct plug in application for the 2011-2014 Chevy Cruze. The included plugs would not fit on your 1993 Aerostar factory provided connectors.
I have include a link to the product recommended and an installation video for your reference.
