Recommended Wheels And Tires For A Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension

Question:

Is there another similar steel wheel that has zero offset? Or maybe a 1/2 offset away from the frame?

The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System w Electric Brake Hubs # A35RD545E require a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern and a minimum 14" wheel so the Dexstar Conventional Steel Wheel with Offset # AM20504 will be a compatible fit. This Wheel does have a 1/2" offset that will have it sit closer towards the frame of the trailer so you could potentially have the clearance issues with the frame or body of the trailer.

The # AM20504 can fit the following tire sizes:

205/75-15
225/75-15
235/75-15

The only difference between these is simply the section width (how wide the tire is). Typically the wider the tire the larger the capacity is going to be and the better the handling will be. That being said these are all super close in size and capacity so it wouldn't be a real noticeable difference.

I'd go with the Kenda ST225/75D15 Bias Trailer Tire - Load Range E # AM1ST97 to get the tiny bit of extra capacity though. If you have any other questions please let me know and I'd be happy to help you further.

Yes, the Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel # AM20545 meets all the same criteria and doesn't have an offset. At this time we don't currently have a wheel with these specifications that has a negative offset (away from the trailer). You can get this wheel with a 205/75R15 tire already on it with part # AM32424, if you want to just have it ready to go out of the box.
