Question:
Good afternoon, I have a 2022 Kia Forte that i need to add a hitch for a mobility scooter electric platform. The scooter weighs about 90 lbs and the platform weighs 84. It seems the only hitches available for my car is a class 1. I would need a 2receiver to accommodate the platform. I was looking into getting an adapter but that would exceed the tounge weight by 90 lbs. Need a suggestion on how to safely transport it with my car.

The only trailer hitch options available for a 2022 Kia Forte are class 1, 1-1/4" like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C55HR which is what I recommend. Unfortunately, this hitch won't be cut out for hauling a mobility scooter as they don't make mobility scooter carriers for this size and the weight capacity is not enough when used with an adapter as you said. Therefore, your only option would be to place the mobility scooter on a small trailer and tow it behind the vehicle if applicable. It's not a good option but nonetheless, the only one we can offer you. In order to complete your towing setup you'll need the following in addition to the trailer hitch.
Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C54ER (Sedan Only)
Curt Class II Drawbar part # C45017
Curt Hitch Pin and Clip part # F-4
Draw-Tite 1-7/8" Hitch Ball part # 19256 or 2" Hitch Ball part # 19258
