Recommended Replacement Slider 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2021 GMC Sierra 2500 w/ Factory Puck System

I had this hitch for my 2019 Ram 2500 and want to use it in my new 2021 GMC 2500 HD with factory prep pucks. I saw another post that it would work with this part on a 3500: Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch . Will this adapter work on my new truck?

None of the Adapters for the puck systems, including the Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch item # C88KR, work with the B&W Patriot Slider item # BWRVK3270. The slider catches on the adapters and they don't allow it to function fully.

You are going to need to replace your Patriot with the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider item # BWRVK3775. The Companion Slider has a 20,000 lbs capacity and will give you 12" of travel for making tight turns and backing. The slider base will drop directly down into your Sierra's factory puck system. You won't have to worry about using an adapter.

The Companion's 1" thick dual jaws will give you a 360-degree jaw to kingpin contact. This system minimizes the chucking, jarring and noise that can occur when towing a fifth wheel trailer. This not only provides a more secure connection but also a quieter more comfortable towing experience. This is an upgrade on the 3/4" jaws that the Patriot has.

The Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch item # C88KR does fit your Sierra's factory puck system but I do not recommend using it with the B&W Patriot Slider item # BWRVK3270.
