The Thule OutWay trunk mount bike rack # TH45JV does indeed fit the Mark IV Jetta and all years of the Chevy Aveo 5-door hatchback. This rack is an excellent choice and offers the most features of any trunk mount bike rack. I own a version of this rack and it is by far the easiest to use trunk mount rack I have ever used.
What makes it easy is the only 2 retractable cables it uses to attach to the vehicle rather than 6 straps like other racks. The cables are strong and will not wear out like straps. Plus they store inside the rack so you will not have loose strap flapping in the wind.
The cables can be locked into place on one side to deter theft and there is an integrated cable lock in the last bike position. Whether using it on your Jetta or Aveo I am sure you will be happy with the OutWay.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # TH982XT. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wife's bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my sons bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
