Recommended Baseplate For A 2022 Bronco Raptor With Modular Bumper

Question:

Kevin thank you for the response and the comprehensive parts list. I have a 10k towbar, chains and umbilical cord already. My coach also has Air Force One. Are the second car kits vehicle specific or generic? I also want the wireless coachlink. If you can include those P/Ns to the list or my question link I will put together an order.

If your 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor has the Ford Performance Heavy Duty Modular Bumper then yes, you will be able to use the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM92ZR you referenced.

If you haven't gotten all of the other components to flat tow your Bronco then I have the following recommendations:

Tow Bar: The listed curb weight of the Bronco Raptor is 5,733lbs so I recommend the etrailer XHD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate - 10.5K # e84ZR so that you'll still be able to load things in your car without being too close the the standard 6k capacity tow bars. This tow bar comes with safety cables included and has an adjustable head and shank to help keep it level without having to also purchase a high/low adapter.

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit will splice in to your tail light wiring and display the braking and turn signals from your motorhome to keep you street legal.

Braking System: Brake Buddy Select 3 Portable Supplemental Braking System # HM39524. This system does require setup each time, but is fast and easy to do. It comes with vehicle side a vehicle side charge line kit to keep the battery charged. If your motorhome doesn't have a charged line kit then you can use part # RM-156-75.

The reinstall kits # SM99226 are generic so you can use that along with the main unit to install the Air Force One System # SM99243 in your Bronco. For the wireless coachlink you'll need part # SM99945.
