Roadmaster Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Question:
I have a 17 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk I need to flat tow behind a 22 Jayco Seneca. I have a cart filled with what I want to use but Im not sure if its all what I need or dont need. Please help RM-676, RM-521440-5, RM-15267, RM-8700, & RM-055-3.

Thanks for reaching out, and I'd be happy to help out!
You chose some great products to use for flat towing your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee and I really only have 2 changes; the tow bar you selected has an umbilical so you only need part of the wiring kit, and you will need a stop light switch as well. This means the parts needed to flat tow your vehicle are:
Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - # RM-521440-5
Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar - # RM-676
Towing Combo Kit - # RM-9284-2 (includes the rest of the wiring AND the tow bar cover)
InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System - # RM-8700
Stop Light Switch Kit - # RM-751449
Hi-Low Adapter - See attached article (bracket height is 19-1/4" per Roadmaster)
The stop light switch kit is needed so you get the stop light signal from the vehicle, otherwise it's too hard to locate that wire so the braking system won't be able to utilize that signal. The high-low adapter may or may not be needed which is why I was referring you to the helpful article.
