To add a hitch to your 2023 Chevy Blazer you are going to want the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 76023.This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Blazer with included hardware.
I really like this hitch because it mounts behind your rear bumper cover and can be completely concealed when you are not towing. It fits both the standard Blazer and Premier models. The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 76023 is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver and weighs 32 lbs. It has a 4,500 lbs towing capacity, and a 675 lbs maximum tongue weight. It can be used with a weight distribution system.
For a wiring harness I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness item # 118276. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your Blazer's factory tow package wiring harness, which is located behind the access cover at the center of your rear bumper. It will provide you with a 7-Way connector to control your Rpod's lights and brakes.
Yes, you will need a brake controller to operate your Rpod's brakes. I recommend the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller item # C51180. The Echo plugs directly into your Blazer's 7-Way connector and allows you to control the settings through an app on your phone. The Echo is also a proportional brake controller that slows or stops your trailer when your Blazer decelerates. It uses Bluetooth to communicate with your phone so you will never have to worry about losing signal. If your phone dies it automatically uses the default settings you program in.
If you like the reassurance of a manual override button you will want the Manual Override Button for Curt Echo Brake Controller item # C83HR. You can mount it wherever you want it inside your vehicle.
To round out your towing setup I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
I have linked a couple of pictures below along with some installation videos so you can see what this hitch and wiring harness looks like when installed. I also included a review video of the Curt Echo so you can see how it functions and is set up.
