In regards to the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System for a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 LD part # TGMRCK15S for extended or regular cab models and part # TGMRCK25S for crew cab models, the space between the frame and axle if extended can be compensated for using spacers to fill the gap which is common in lifted applications. For this, you'd just need to use a combination of the Timbren Spacers part # TA25722-90P00 for 1/2" or part # A25723-90AH00 for 1" until you get between 1-1/2" - 1" of space between the frame and contact point.
