Folding Trailer Hitch Mount Cargo Carrier that Will Clear the Rear Bumper on a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe
Question:
Good evening Is this cargo carrier compatible with a 2 inch receiver on a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe? Does it still fold up with the Santa fe? What do you recommend to reduce the wobble in the hitch the reviews identify? Thanks

Curt cargo carrier # C18100 will fit a 2 inch trailer hitch. It will definitely fit on a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe when in the folded down position. But when folded up it is not likely to fit. On the hitches we have installed on the same generation Santa Fe as yours they measure 5-3/4 to 6 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole back to clear the rear bumper. In order for the Curt carrier to fit that measurement would have to be less than 5 inches.
A better fit would be Pro Series carrier # 6502. It measures 7-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole when folded up. I have included a link to a video review of this carrier for you.
To take care of any wobble I recommend adding the locking anti-rattle hitch pin, # 63232. You get the benefit of an anti-rattle device with the bonus of a locking hitch pin. I have linked a video of this device as well.
