How Much Fender Clearance is Needed for Timbren Silent Ride Suspension for Tandem 7K Axles

Question:

My Question with the axle is: Do you need 6-3/16 min. clearance at the top of the tire to the bottom of the wheel well on the trailer frame?

The Timbren Silent Ride Suspension for Tandem Axle Trailers with 3" Round Axles part # TSR7000T05 has 2-1/2" of travel so you'd need at least this much space from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender. That said, to be on the safe side we usually recommend around 4" from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender for proper articulation. I recommend mounting the axle first, mounting the wheels/tires, then measured 4" up from the top of the tire for fender placement.
