Color of Brake Light Switch for Brake Controller on 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan
Question:
I want to wire in an electric brake controller in my 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan. I am having issues identifying the brake trigger wire on the vehicle. I unplugged the switch and have probed all the wires and am still confused. I am old and not a contortionist, so Im sure its me. I have tried to find an online schematic to identify the wire color needed. Can you help? Thanks

The stop light switch circuit on a 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan is carried out by a green wire. I do however recommend checking this to ensure it only has power while the pedal is pressed.
In order to install an electric trailer brake controller you'll first need to start with a trailer wiring harness, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56331 which is plug-in play. This can then be converted into a 7-way using the 4 to 7-Way with 4-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. You can then install the Tekonsha BRAKE-EVN Trailer Brake Controller part # TK63VR which is what I recommend.
