Since your Silverado is the 4X4 1500HD with extended cab the correct rear axle Timbren kit is part # TGMRCK25S. I confirmed this with my contact at Timbren. The kit you referenced, # TGMRCK15S, is the correct kit for 2-door trucks without the extended cab.
These Timbren helper springs install without drilling and will work with or without factory top overload springs. Installation requires permanent removal of the factory bump stops. The video link provided will show you the installation process for this kit in a 2005 Silverado; the process will be essentially identical in your 2006.
Suspension enhancement kits like this Timbren are designed to work with a suspension system that is in good working order and they do not increase the weight capacity of the vehicle. I have included a link to an article concerning Timbren springs that explains their features and applications.
