Parts Needed to Install 7-Way and Brake Controller 2009 Ford F-150 4-Way
Question:
Hi..i need help finding a wiring kit for my 2009 f150 without tow package for my 7000lb gvw utility trailer with electric brakes. I did install a 4 way flat with factory plug in connector last year...thank you

To convert the factory 4-way of your 2009 Ford F-150 to a 7-way you'd want the part # 37185 which your 4-way will plug right into. To complete the brake output circuit you'd need to run the blue wire of the adapter to the wires that are on the driver side frame rail of your truck like in the attached picture.
Then to activate the trailer brakes you will need a brake controller like the proportional and reliable Tekonsha Brake EVN part # TK63VR. To wire it to your truck would require just the part # 22292 and you'd be set.
