Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for an UnderBed Gooseneck Hitch on a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500
Question:
Hello, My question I already have a under-box gooseneck hitch on my Dodge 3500 pickup. Would it be compatible with the upper part of your hitch or do I have to change my gooseneck hitch to mount this system on my truck? Thanks for your time.

I would be happy to help you. The B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch item # BWRVK3500-5W is only compatible with the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch item # BWGNRK1313. If your 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 has a square gooseneck ball receiver in the bed then the B&W Companion will work with your truck.
If your truck has a round receiver or one with threads then you will need to either replace that system or use a different 5th wheel hitch. The Demco Recon 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch item # DM8550045-5W is a great alternative. It attaches directly to your gooseneck ball and has a 21,000 lbs capacity.
To make towing with a 5th wheel easier I recommend adding the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector - 10' Long item # C56001. This harness puts a 7-way connector in the bed of your truck and allows you to keep the one on your bumper. This makes hooking up to your 5th wheel trailer easier and more convenient.
