The correct system for your needs will depend on your trailer.

The Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System you referred to, part # RP66082 would be compatible with a Class III, IV or V hitch for your 2013 Silverado. This particular system is rated to handle trailers with tongue weights ranging from 200-600 lbs. Ideally, you want to choose a system that places your trailer tongue weight as close as possible to the center of the effective range of the system.

To determine which system you need, your first step would be to determine the FULLY LOADED and ready to tow tongue weight of the trailer. I have linked you to an FAQ article that explains how to determine the trailer tongue weight. To this figure, you would add the weight of any gear stowed in the bed of the truck behind the rear axle. This figure could be called your total or ready to tow tongue weight.

The Strait-Line system combines the proven capability of the Reese weight distribution system with the top-of-the-line dual cam sway control. The Dual Cam system is proactive, and will prevent trailer sway before it can begin. If your total or ready to tow tongue weight is in the neighborhood of 400 lbs but less than 600 lbs, the # RP66072 system you referenced would be a fine choice. If your total tongue weight is around 600 lbs but less than 800 lbs, the # RP66083 Strait-Line system would work well. If the tongue weight is around 900 but less than 1200 lbs, the # RP66084 would be your best choice.

These systems mentioned above include the weight distributing shank, but the appropriately sized trailer ball is sold separately. For a 2 inch ball, use part # A-90 or part # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch ball.
