Can Power Wire of Curt Trailer Wiring Kit C59496 Run to Auxiliary Battery

can u hookup power source of the wire harness to the auxiliary battery that is back of the vehicle on my car, instead of taking power source wire to the front engine compartment? its a 12V auxiliary battery
