Replacement 5.30-12 Tire & Wheel For Fleetwood Yuma Trailer

Question:

I have a 2008 Fleetwood Yuma tent trailer. The wheels are original and currently the tires are 5.30x12 Hi Run. Two of the last 3 sets of tires have delaminated and Im wondering if I can change my wheels to heavier duty stock which could use a better quality tire. The first half of this trailers life I had no delam problems and the tires seemed to last noticeably longer.

Yes, you can change your wheels and tires to something better so you won't see the deterioration you are now. I highly recommend wheels from Dexstar, and they right ones will depend on if you have a 4 or 5 lug hub:

- 4-Lug: Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel # AM20122

- 5-Lug: Dexstar Steel Spoke Trailer Wheel # AM20132

These wheels need a valve stem, the Americana Rubber, Snap-In Valve Stem # AM20904, and for tires go with a higher-quality option than your current ones, the Taskmaster 5.30R12 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range C # TT53012C.

Just make sure these have the correct capacity for your trailer; they have a 1,050 lb per-tire rating, so you want to make sure your trailer's weight won't exceed the combined capacity of the tires.
