Diode to Prevent Backfeeding for Charging Trailer Battery with Solar and 12 Volt Accy Circuit

Question:

We have a trailer that we are adding a 50-watt solar panel to charge a battery mounted in the trailer. We would like to tie into the dome light electrical feed within the trailer to serve as a backup charge to the trailer battery. It is our understanding that we would need to tie the positive lead from the solar and the positive lead from the dome light into a diode isolate to run to the battery and a negative lead from the solar panel coupled with the negative wire from the dome light into a separate diode isolate prior to connection to the positive and negative on the battery. We desperately need to know what type of diode could handle these two different types of power. Both the solar panel and trailer are 12 volt. However we are concerned the 50 watt solar array and the trailer light system will not be able to run in a standard trailer light diode. Please advise

We have diodes like the part # RM-790 that you could use to isolate the charge circuit from your trailer wiring so that it could charge the battery when needed but would prevent the solar panel power from backfeeding onto the trailer wiring circuit since it would be connected at same time.
