TracRac SR Ladder Rack Fitment with Tonneau Cover on 2022 Ram 2500 6-1/2' Bed

Question:

I am having issues installing the TracRac SR on my Ram 2500. It was confirmed to work with this truck, but the truck bed is tapered 3 inch from the cab side to the tailgate. If I were to install in existing bolt holes, the rack would overhang the inside of the rail, not allowing for a bed cover.

There likely is some overhang towards the bed with the Thule TracRac SR # TH43003XT-501EX installed on your 2022 Ram 2500. This is definitely designed to fit your truck and we've found there to be a limited number of tonneau covers compatible with this ladder rack.

Because of this, it's best to use a retractable cover with the TracRac SR and for that I recommend the Pace Edwards Switchblade:

- Pace Edwards Switchblade Retractable Hard Tonneau Cover # 311-SWD7833

This has rails that fit under the base rails for your TracRac and since the cover doesn't need to fold up you'll be able to operate it just fine.
